Ryazantsevo got its name because of a robber with long knives - “cutters” (“cuts”), who lives in the surrounding forests and often attacked trade caravans .
Today, the main attraction of Ryazantsev is the beautiful chapel of St. George the Victorious, built in early 2002 .

History
In the scribal books of 1628–29, the village of Ryazantsevo was recorded behind the Kravchik Prince Vasily Yanushevich Suleshov (and before him it was behind the Prince Baryatinsky).
In 1628 there was a wooden church of the Archangel Michael.
In 1811, at the expense of the parishioners, a stone temple was built with the same bell tower. In 1890, the meal of this temple was renewed and expanded. There were two thrones in the church: in the cold in the name of Archangel Michael, in the warm aisle in honor of the Entry into the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary. [2]
Since 1893, there has been a parish school in the village.
In 1894 V.I. Lenin came to Ryazantsevo station. He was heading to the village of Gorki , where the book “What are the“ friends of the people ”and how they fight against the Social Democrats?” Was published underground in the estate of the merchant Ganshin . [3] [4] [5] [6]
In 1944-1959, Ryazantsevo was the center of the Ryazantsevo district .
In the spring of 2006, the train station burned down. In 2009, a new one was built.
