Design Features
Duval construction technologies are not strictly fixed anywhere, and they are made in different places in their own way.
Quite often, they are built from Saman bricks called “gouvall” and representing a mixture of clay and straw [1] . Such bricks after manufacturing dried in the sun for several days. The foundation of a dual is laid out from strong stones, fastening them with clay. Gouvall bricks are made in such a way that when they are laid between them there is no strong gaps. Fasten them as clay solution. The surface of the fence is covered with a similar clay mortar, sometimes with white plaster or painted paints.
In Central Asia, other ways of making duvala can be found, for example, from pahsa - flat clay bricks [1] . There is little or no straw in them. The formation of the fence from pakhsa is made in the form of a ladder, with the subsequent alignment of the steps with clay, or in the form of a tape with a slight slope.
There are also duvali of mud bricks, formed from formwork. Such bricks are dried for a long time so that they become very durable. There is an opinion [1] that such a duval can withstand a collision with a car. Usually its height does not exceed three meters.
