Kompakt Records is a German record label , one of the most famous on the techno scene. It is also a well-known distributor of electronic music (both on vinyl media and on CD). Kompakt was founded in 1998 on the basis of the already existing Profan and Auftrieb labels. [1] Owners of Kompakt Records are Wolfgang Voigt , Michael Mayer and Jürgen Paape .
