Clytra rotundata (lat.) - a species of leaf beetles ( Chrysomelidae ) from the subfamily clitrina ( Clytrinae ). It is found in Cyprus [1] [2] , in Turkey [3] and Israel [4] .

Description
The body is cylindrical. Body length about 10 mm. Head, pronotum and legs black, elytra yellow or yellow-red, each with 2 black spots [5] . Beetles are found on trees and shrubs. Larvae live in cases that are made from their own excrement and particles of the surrounding substrate. Like all other representatives of the genus [6] [7] , the larvae of this species are myrmecophiles — they are found in anthills , into which they enter in various ways. Usually, ants drag eggs into their nests that are very similar to the seeds, and sometimes the larvae themselves. Larvae feed on detritus, but can also eat eggs, larvae and pupae of ants.
