Company History
The first version of the Terrasoft CRM system was developed by Alexander Popov in 2001-2002.
In 2002, Alexander Popov together with Katerina Kostereva founded the company Terrasoft. [1] The company's start-up coincided with an increase in business interest in CRM: according to Gartner, from 2003 to 2008, the global market for customer relationship management systems consistently showed double-digit growth. [2] At the same time, in Eastern Europe, CRM sales grew even more rapidly, [3] which is associated with youth and weak market saturation.
The first versions of the CRM system were used by the young company in their own work, but rather quickly there were customers — Russian, Ukrainian, and Belarusian companies of various sizes. One of the first users of Terrasoft CRM in 2002–2003 was AST (Russia), Diamantbank (Ukraine), Radio Lux (Ukraine), Cebit (Ukraine), Muravei (Ukraine), Lineservis ( Russia), Baltic Training Group (Ukraine), Watson Telecom (Ukraine), D & Y (Ukraine).
Initially, Terrasoft CRM was designed to work in medium and small companies, but gradually the solution acquired the functionality inherent in large corporate systems. At the same time, Terrasoft started developing CRM systems for various market verticals. In 2003, the first implementation of the Terrasoft CRM Bank industry solution appeared for organizing customer relationship management in banks, and today more than 25 industry-specific products and solutions have been created on the Terrasoft platform.
In 2004–2005, Terrasoft develops methodologies for conducting CRM projects and is actively engaged in project and consulting activities, opens a division of Terrasoft Consulting, which soon grows into a separate company, develops a partner network led by Andrei Shekhovtsov. At the same time, Terrasoft is launching promotion in Western markets. Terrasoft is among the first foreign customers - the Smart car dealer in the UK, SmartsRUs.
In 2007, Terrasoft, together with its partners, launches a number of industry-specific solutions, as well as Terrasoft Sales, a CRM-system with basic capabilities for solving the tasks of the sales department. In the same year, the first software product of the company, which was not a CRM system, appeared: it turned out to be a solution for organizing the service of Terrasoft Service Desk.
At the same time, according to IDC reports, Terrasoft occupies the largest share of the CRM market in Russia among domestic development systems. [four]
In 2009, Terrasoft announces the update of its line of CRM-systems. Now the family includes three configurations: a system with enhanced functionality of Terrasoft XRM, a “classic” system of Terrasoft CRM and Terrasoft Sales. [five]
In 2009, Terrasoft began working on a new business process management platform (BPMonline). And in February 2011, announces the release of a new development. The BPMonline platform is based on the concept of BPM (Business Process Management) and the popular global standard for business process description - BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation). The first product created on the new platform was BPMonline CRM . The system is a web application that does not require installation of the client part, since the system is operated using a browser.
In September 2010, as a result of a technological partnership with IntelTelecom , a provider of solutions for building call-centers, an integration module for call-centers Infinity and Terrasoft CRM was released.
In 2010-2015, the company's clients became: Yandex (Russia), ZyXel (Russia), HeadHunter (Russia), City Telecom (Russia).
In 2015, CRM Magazine included bpm'online in the top five leaders of the CRM market in two categories: Sales Force Automation and Midmarket CRM Suite. Also bpm'online is included in the ranking of the best CRM-systems for customer service management - Gartner Magic Quadrant 2015.
As of September 2015, Terrasoft software products are used in the work of more than 6,000 enterprises, and the partner network of the developer is represented by more than 200 companies. [6]
