Description
Potassium manganate is a salt of dark green color. Melting under the pressure of oxygen. In solution, it is stable only in a strongly alkaline medium. The green color of the solution corresponds to the ion MnO 4 2− . Slowly decomposes when the solution is diluted with water, quickly - upon acidification. Shows redox properties.
