A virtual fax is a virtual number that receives fax messages and then processes them and forwards them to the owner’s email . An office does not require a physical fax machine to operate a virtual fax; just use the virtual fax service of a telecommunications company.
Telecommunications companies can offer a virtual fax service along with services such as a virtual number and a virtual office . A customer who wishes to use virtual fax is provided with a number that he publishes as a fax number. All fax messages arriving at this number are processed on the server of the company-seller of the service, and then sent to the customer’s email. Thus, the owner of a virtual fax can read his messages from any computer and, if necessary, print the necessary documents on a printer .
Since virtual fax is not tied to a regular telephone line, it can receive any number of messages at once. All faxes are stored in an electronic box and are thus generated in an electronic archive.
Also, the “virtual fax” service often includes the function of sending messages, it is carried out by e-mail. However, the recipient cannot determine how the message was sent.
Applications
Virtual Fax can be used:
- as part of the “virtual office” service by companies that do not actually have office space,
- as an alternative to buying a fax machine,
- for unloading the telephone line.
