Biography
He graduated from the Polytechnic School ( 1806 ) and from the next year began to teach at it. Since 1843, a member of the Paris Academy of Sciences .
Binet was one of the first to come up with the ideas of matrix algebra and was the first to publish the matrix multiplication rule in 1812 . His name is associated with the Binet formula for Fibonacci numbers , although this formula was received a century earlier by Abraham de Muavr . Regardless of Euler, he found a particular solution to the problem of four cubes (Euler and Binet formulas). Bina also holds a number of important theorems in the mechanics of rotating bodies.
