Sünniewe started biathlon in 2002. In 2008, as part of the Norwegian team , she made her debut at the Junior World Championships in the category of athletes under 19 years of age. In personal races, she never managed to get even into the Top-10, and in the relay she helped her team finish second.

A year later, the coaches allowed Sulemdal to start in the European Cup . In the same year she again participated in the junior world championship. Performances in the older age group bring three finishes in the Top-10. Later, she participates in the European Junior Championships , winning her first medal in competitions of this level in the individual race. At the end of the 2008/09 season, the Norwegian makes her debut in the adult world cup. Already in her second race, she will finish in the test group. [one]

In the 2009/10 season, Sünnёv plays on a regular basis in the European Cup . At the end of the season, she is allowed to run a few more races in the adult World Cup.

In the offseason, Norwegian transferred to the main team in the World Cup. In the same season, they try it in the relay. In that debut race, the Norwegian team will finish on the podium. In March 2011, Sulemdal made his debut at the adult world championships.

In the 2011/12 season, the Norwegian noticeably improves her results: already at the starting stage she will finish fourth in the sprint race, ahead of Daria Domracheva . In the future, regularly finishing near Top10, she managed to finish the season in 13th place in the overall standings of the World Cup. First, the first relay victory in the World Cup was obtained, and then the first medals in this kind of program at the World Cup - first bronze in the classic race, and then gold in its mixed form.

Season 2012/13 Sünnöve started from second place in the mixed relay in Ostersund, Sweden . Norway lost to the winner - the Russian team 21.2 seconds. Sulemdal achieved her first victory in the World Cup in the pursuit race in Austria's Hochfilzen , ahead of her teammate Turu Berger by 30.2 seconds, it is also worth noting that this was the first young Norwegian podium in her individual competitions in her career.
