He took power over the remnants of the kaganate. Uighurs and Karluks killed the Basmal Khan and sent his head to Chang'an . Uigur Khan Paylo declared himself Kutlug-Bilge Kul Khan and partly subjugated, partly destroyed the Basmol. In 744, the Tang commander Wang Zhongtsi set off to finish off the remnants of the Turks. He destroyed 11 clans and eastern apa-tarkhan near the mountains of the Sahenei. Baimei Khan migrated west, but there he was overtaken by the Uyghurs and chopped off his head. Pofu, the widow of the kagan, gathered the remnants of the people and left for China, where she was given the title and good maintenance.
Emperor Xuanzong (Tang Dynasty, 712–756) received the head of the last kagan and arranged a holiday in the Huaelou Palace.
The remnants of the eastern Turks disappeared among the Chinese tobacco and Uighurs .
