Loma is a village in the Rostov district of the Yaroslavl region , located east of Makarovo . The population as of January 1, 2007 is 36 people [1] .

History
In the XVIII-XIX centuries. Loma village was part of the Kurakovschina and belonged to the Gvozdevsky parish. [2] Later included in the Priimkovsky volost.
According to the manuscript of Khlebnikov, at this place was the military headquarters of Grand Duke Vasily Vasilyevich Dark during his war with Prince Vasily Shemyaka-Kosy ; two messengers came here to the Grand Duke, Princes Yuri Ivanovich Temkin and Yuri Mikhailovich Kasatkin , with the news that “the great scrap Shemyakina rati was made and that the great punishment for her was on Red Mountain”, in memory of which the Grand Duke named this place Shemyakins-Loma.
