Hotel "At the deceased climber" (game)

The plot of the game is as close as possible to the plot of the story of the same name by the Strugatsky brothers, however, along with the original plot of the plot described in the story, the developers made two alternative options for the outcome of the events. The protagonist of the game, police inspector Peter Glebsky, arrives at the hotel "At the deceased climber", located in a remote mountain area and forced to stay there for a long time, especially after the inspector discovers the corpse of one of the guests. There is no way to return to the city or call for help, the only way out of the valley was blocked by an avalanche, and the inspector alone undertakes to find the killer. All guests are suspected, but there can only be one killer. During the investigation, Peter discovers more and more terrible secrets that the hotel keeps. But there is no way for the inspector to retreat; his own life also depends on the outcome of the investigation.

The music was prepared by TriHorn Productions.

The soundtrack was released on December 29, 2007 on a DVD collector's version of the game. Some tracks were posted for free access on the official website.

The game was mixed up by critics. Most reviewers of Russian gaming publications noted the high quality of 2D graphics and high-quality soundtrack, on the other hand, noted the extremely low quality of 3D animation and poor gameplay for its time. ^[5]

The release of the game turned into a small scandal, when right before the start of sales it was discovered that the entire first batch prepared for sale had an incorrect activation code printed on the disks. As a result, the entire release batch of discs went on sale with special stickers on the packaging, on which instructions with the correct code were given.
