Dissemination and ecology

Asia : Turkey (Erzurum Valayet, Oltun sajak). Described from the vicinity of the village Olty .

It grows on the rocks.

Botanical description

The roots are thin, woody. Stems numerous, branched, ascending, forming a loose turf . The whole plant is very shortly pubescent with simple, curved hairs.

The leaves are opposite, ovate in shape, 7–10 mm long, pinotomontinuous on 5–7 blunt oblong and ovate lobes, medium and sometimes lateral lobes with two teeth at the base, on petioles 3–5 mm long; lower - three-bladed.

Brushes are lateral, friable, few-flowered . Pedicels are straight, twice as long as cups; bracts oblong-lanceolate, about 3 mm long, more than twice as long as peduncles, almost bare, obtuse. Calyx fourfold, with unequal in length and accreted at base, oblong-lanceolate lobes, naked on the outside, with sparse short hairs on the inside; the rim is bare, about 10 mm in diameter, the rim is bent with four identical, ovate lobes. The stamens are almost half shorter than the corolla, with dark filaments and ovate anthers .

The box is bare, about 3 mm long, rounded-heart-shaped, at the apex with a small notch, with blades located at a right angle, rounded at the base, exceeds the calyx. The seeds are elliptical, about 1 mm long, 0.5 mm wide, tapered towards the base, blunt at the apex, smooth, boat-shaped-concave.
