Ebenezer Place is the shortest street in the world today. This fact was noted in the Guinness Book of Records , whose representatives officially registered a new record in November 2006 . The street is 2.06 m (6 feet 9 inches ) long.

Until the Guinness Book of Records was entered, the street name was absent on the maps of the city due to the fact that it was not visible on the scale of the maps. Earlier , Elgin Place was considered the shortest in the town of Beykap in Lancashire ( England ). Its length is 5.2 m (17 ft ).
