Cathedral - Small Basilica of the Glorious Mother of God , port. Catedral Basílica Menor de Nossa Senhora da Glória is a monumental Catholic Cathedral in Maringa , Brazilian state of Parana .
This is the highest Catholic Cathedral in Latin America. The shape of the cathedral was inspired by Soviet satellites. . The initial design of the cathedral was proposed by don Jaime Luis Coelho , and the cathedral was designed by architect Jose Augusto Bellucci .

The cathedral was built between July 1959 and May 1972. It was consecrated on May 3, 1981 , and on January 21, 1982 it received the status of the Cathedral - the Small Basilica.
The cathedral is located on Avenida Tiradentes Avenue, Zone 1 (Avenida Tiradentes, Zona 1). Around the cathedral are fountains that are illuminated at night.
