Biography
Born on November 20 ( December 3 ), 1899 in Novorossiysk (now the Krasnodar Territory ) in a working class family.
Since 1917, Anatoly Alexandrov worked as a draftsman at a valve and electromechanical plant in Petrograd .
In 1918 he joined the Red Army and in the same year he graduated from the Petrograd artillery command courses . After completing the course, he participated in the Civil War as a platoon commander, artillery battery, and head of the reconnaissance team on the Southern and Western fronts . After the end of the Civil War, he served until 1924 in the Moscow Military District .
From 1924 to 1928, Aleksandrov worked as a turner at the Krasny Arsenal plant.
Since 1928, Anatoly Alexandrov again served in the Red Army .
In 1932, after graduating from the F. Dzerzhinsky Military-Political Academy in Leningrad , he was appointed to the post of head of the training unit, senior lecturer, deputy head of the department at VAMM of the Red Army named after I. Stalin in Moscow , where he remained until 1938 .
From 1938 to 1947, Aleksandrov worked as deputy head of the Secretariat of the USSR SNK , deputy member of the State Defense Committee of the USSR for ammunition, assistant deputy chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers .
By Decree No. 199 of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR of February 22, 1943, Anatoly Sergeevich Aleksandrov was given the military rank of “Major General of Engineering and Technical Services”.
From 1947 to 1951 he worked as deputy chief of the First Main Directorate at the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR , at the same time being in those years one of the leaders of works on the creation of Soviet atomic weapons.
On August 29, 1949, Aleksandrov attended the Semipalatinsk test site ( Kazakh SSR ) during the testing of the first Russian atomic bomb .
From 1951 to 1955, Aleksandrov worked as the head of KB-11 of the Volga office of Glavgorstroy (now the All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics ) of the MSM USSR .
Since 1955, Aleksandrov worked as a director of the enterprise of the PO Box No. 825 of the PGU at the USSR Council of Ministers [1] .
He died on March 29, 1979 at his dacha in the village of Korenevo ( Lyubertsy district , Moscow region ) buried in the same area at the Malakhovsky cemetery .
