He graduated from the Theater Studio of Yuri Zavadsky (1931). Theater actor and director in Tashkent , Odessa , Rostov-on-Don .

Since 1939 - in the cinema.

In 1939 he worked at the Kiev film studio , since 1943 - the director of the Mosfilm film studios , the Sverdlovsk film studio , Tajikfilm .

He was buried at the Don cemetery .
