Kuratovo (formerly called Kebra ) is a village in the Sysolsky District of the Komi Republic . Center of the rural settlement of Kuratovo . Located 32 km from the center of Wiesing , on the right bank of the Bub River.

In the village there is a museum of Ivan Kuratov , where you can learn about the life of the poet, from birth to exile in Kazakhstan . It was in Kebra (present-day Kuratov) that his manuscripts with verses in the Komi language were found. Every year in the village, the Kuratov poetry festival is held, in which poets of the republic and guests from other regions of Russia, near and far abroad participate. Content
History
It is mentioned in the census of 1586 as the cemetery of Kebra. There was a wooden church on the graveyard, about two dozen villages and settlements were scattered around. Near the graveyard on the Bub river was the fortified town of Kotek, probably built in the second half of the 15th - first half of the 16th centuries. to shelter the local population during the attacks.
On January 19, 1940 the village was renamed Kuratovo in honor of the local native of the Komi poet I. A. Kuratov .
