Biography
Martin Opzhondek was born in a large family of Stanislav and Juliana. He had 5 brothers and sisters [2] .
He was a member of the Franciscan Order. After the start of World War II, on August 26, 1940, Martin Opjondek was arrested by the Gestapo and sent to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp . Martin Opzhondek died in a gas chamber , which was located in the medieval castle of Hartheim .
Glorification
On June 13, 1999, Martin Oppzondk was beatified by Pope John Paul II in the group of 108 blissful Polish martyrs .
Memorial Day in the Catholic Church - 12 June .
