History

Shootboxing was created in August 1985 (Japanese version). Various boxers and fighters began to come to him, for example, Hayato Sakurai. Such fighters as Jens Palver played a role in the development and gaining fame. Many K-1 fighters made their debut in boxing or took part in fights, including Andy Souwer , Albert Kraus and Buakhau Por Pramuk . The first tournament was held September 1, 1985 .

Competition Form

The rules allow kicks and lower legs, knees and elbows in any part of the body, except the groin and back, blows in boxing gloves are allowed only in the body and in the head. Throws and painful techniques and strangulation in the rack are allowed. The throwing technique is a combination of Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling techniques. The athlete is declared a foul and automatic loss only in cases of stroke in the groin. A loser is a fighter who does not score “ten” after a knockdown, receives a knockdown three times or surrenders. Professional boxing fights are divided into 2 classes: professional class and beginner class. Pro contest time - 3 rounds of 5 minutes (or 5 of 2 minutes). In the event of a tie, additional rounds of 3 (2) minutes are held. A break between rounds is 1 minute. The competition for beginners is 3 rounds of 3 minutes each and additional rounds of 3 minutes in case of a tie. The interval between rounds is also one minute. In Olympic boxing, several Olympic and Greco-Roman, freestyle and kick-boxing world champions continue their careers.

Varieties

SHUTFIGHTING or PANCRASE (Greek variation of pankration in Japan), also called “hybrid wrestling”, created in Japan in 1993 by Masakatsu Funaki and Minoru Suzuki. Both of them began their sports career as professional wrestlers in the Japanese professional wrestling association, and then switched to fighting game, where their own wrestling style finally developed. Having decided to create their own organization of fighting game fighting, Funaki and Suzuki gave it the name “PANCRASE Hybrid Wrestling Association”. Thus, they wanted to say that fights are held in an extremely free manner without restrictions (in ancient times, pankration meant "free fight with risk to life") . Almost all fights in PANCRASE end on the floor of the ring by asphyxiation or pain. The following weight categories are distinguished (in each version, their own categories): 47, 50, 52, 55, 57, 60, 65, 67, 70, 72, 75, 80, 85, 90 and more kg .

Shootboxing in Russia

Since 1996, the Euro-Asian Federation of Shootboxing (independent fighting organization) has existed in the CIS (an independent independent organization), in this version there is a lot of fighting in the rack, lying down works up to 10 seconds.

The President of the Federation is Valery Zotov (5th dan) - a student of Takida Naomi (Spain).
