Pseudo-Aristotle is a common name for authors of philosophical and medical works, attributing their works to Aristotle , as well as for those whose works were later taken for the works of Aristotle. In the Middle Ages, many European and Arab authors passed off their works as Aristotelian, as this brought fame and recognition to their works.
