In Culture

Landing on a block , basket for epiphytes, or a pot. Substrate: pine bark of a large fraction mixed with sphagnum .

Recommended summer temperatures: 17 ° C at night and 20–28 ° C during the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures depend on the height of the species. Alpine species are not recommended for daytime temperatures above 20 ° C

Khizisa is grown under diffuse lighting, direct sunlight can cause leaf burns.

During the period of active vegetation, every second or third watering, you can use special mineral fertilizers for orchids. Hizisa roots usually begin active growth after flowering peak. Watering is reduced to a minimum in the fall and completely stopped in the winter. During the dormant period, plants contain at a temperature of about 13 ° C at night and only a few degrees more in the daytime.

Some growers report that the plant can be grown indoors if the humidity is high enough during the summer months.

Adult plants can be divided into curtains consisting of at least two pseudobulbs [5] .
