Army History
On April 7, 1945, the remnants of the 4th Army were transferred to the formation of the 21st Army , and the command was transformed into headquarters on special orders from the OKH. [1] .
The 21st Army was formed on April 27, 1945 on the basis of the remnants of the headquarters of the 4th Army (virtually destroyed in East Prussia) and the remains of the Steiner Army Group (defeated on the Oder). She had the task of defending Berlin. The remains of the 21st Army on May 2, 1945 were captured.
