The Yukon Territory Act (1898 ) is a law promulgated by the Canadian government in 1897, approved by Queen Victoria of Great Britain on August 16, 1897, and established the separate Yukon Territory unit as part of the Dominion of Canada .

The law was written in the image of a similar law on the Northwest Territories . In particular, the law provided for the only official language of the territory - English.
