Valerie Beg (born September 26, 1985 in St. Pierre ) - Miss France 2008 . She decided to participate in the competition while in Dunkirk , in northern France. She represented Reunion Island , the overseas department of France, located in the Indian Ocean . Valerie is the second Miss France hailing from Reunion Island. The first Monique Uldaric, became Miss France in 1976 .
