Story
The film tells about the life and career of the Ukrainian opera singer Salome Krushelnytska, whose name in the early twentieth century stood in the same row with the names Battistini, Caruso and Chaliapin.
The hard work of a talented actress allowed her, after studying at the Lviv Conservatory, to become one of the best students who took vocal skills from Professor Crespi in Italy. After signing a contract with the director of the Cremona Theater, a long-term cooperation began with Giacomo Puccini, in whose operas Manon Lesco and Madame Butterfly, the singer shone.
Forced to take on the duties of the head of a large family, she stubbornly tries to educate her numerous sisters, not always finding understanding on their part. Serious illness of his brother, and then the sister Nosy lay an additional burden. Surrounded by the attention of many men, Salome Krushelnitskaya always puts in the first place music, to which she will give up all her life.
