Content
History
The theater was founded in 1933 by a group of young Leningrad actors and students of the studio at the Archangel TYuZ. The first performance staged is “Rhys” based on the play by R. Landis. During the Great Patriotic War, it was called the “Variety Theater and Dolls”. Until 1963, the Arkhangelsk Regional Puppet Theater was located on the third floor of the Drama Theater. Lomonosov (chief director Ivan Vasilyevich Semenov, director Vera Aleksandrovna Vinogradova), worked here wonderful actors Alexei Kulakov, Anna Rodionova, Kirill Varakin, Vladimir Stepanov, Nina Budilova, Elizaveta Furkova, Alla Kobicheva, Yevgenia Byzova, Gennady Nefedov and etc. the first stationary room with a hall on Popov Street, 2 (on the first floor). This puppet theater annually toured the Arkhangelsk region and therefore has been named both by the audience and the regional leadership.
In the 1970s, the theater troupe was replenished with graduates of LGITMiK (course M. M. Korolev). The repertoire appeared for adults. Since the 1980s, the theater regularly participates in Russian theater festivals.
The theater is the organizer of the International festival of chamber performances of puppet theaters "Snail". In 1997, the theater troupe performed at the Avignon International Theater Festival . The theater toured in Germany, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Greece. Since 1999, the theater has a youth studio "Dur" ("Major"); since 2000 - literary and theatrical lounge, where theater actors present their independent works.
Awards
The Arkhangelsk Regional Puppet Theater was twice awarded the Golden Mask Award (“Den”, director - D. Lokhov; nomination “Best Performance” [1] , 1996; “Hamlet, Danish Prince”, director - D. Lokhov; “Best Actor Work "- S. Mikhailova , 2003 [2] ). He is the owner of the prizes of the International Festival “Nevsky Piero”, a participant and winner of many international festivals of puppet theaters.
