Description

The decision to build the New Olympic Village was made in 1996 [3] , the area near the Ramenki floodplain was chosen as the place for it - the river itself on the site was later transformed into a cascade of artificial reservoirs. The construction of the complex continued from 1997 to 1998, to the first World Youth Games [1] . In 1999, the complex of the New Olympic Village was awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of architecture [4] .
The village consists of six monolithic houses with 636 apartments, four of which rise to 16-25 floors and are united by a common foundation where the parking is located. Infrastructure facilities, such as a kindergarten, a school, shops, a sports complex, were erected next to the residential buildings [1] [5] [6] .
