Mykolayiv Higher School of Physical Culture (NUUFK) ( Ukrainian, Mikolaivske College of Physical Culture ) is a Ukrainian higher educational institution located in Nikolaev . Provides training for professional athletes and coaches of various sports.
Over the years, this educational institution has made a significant contribution to the development of physical education and sports in Ukraine .
So, at the XXIX Olympic Games as a part of the national team of Ukraine 21 sportsmen of Nikolayevshchina acted. Among them - the winner of the gold medal in the team saber fencing competitions, Elena Khomrova , boxers Alexander Klyuchko , Sergey Derevyanchenko , rowing academics Sergey Beloushenko , Tatyana Kolesnikova , Svetlana Spiryukhova , canoeist Maxim Prokopenko , Elena Movchan ( trampolining ), Pavel Kalinchev and Andrey Shafranyuk (sailing), as well as the athlete Valentina Gorpinich representing the Odessa region, are graduates of the school.
History
The history of the institution has been reported since September 1, 1979 . Having passed several stages of formation, the school in 1993 passed accreditation and received the status of higher. In its structure is a comprehensive school (grades 8-11), which provides students with a complete secondary education, as well as a higher education institution of the first level of accreditation, which trains specialists with basic higher education in the qualification of "junior specialist" and the specialty "Physical Culture and Sports". Thus, a system of continuous step education for gifted athletes has been created here.
