The administrative center is the village of Snopot (Snopot) .
History
The volost was formed in the 1880s from a part of the Molotkovskaya volost . It was the northernmost parish of the county, bordering the Smolensk and Kaluga provinces.
During the enlargement of the volosts, in 1924 the Snopot volost was abolished, and its territory was annexed to the Voronovo volost .
