Introduction (music)

Introduction to music is the type of music section , the initial section that directly introduces into any vocal or instrumental work, play , picture or musical and theatrical performance [1] . The introduction includes melodic , harmonic and / or rhythmic materials associated with the foundation of the structure present in each part. Soviet musicology distinguishes introduction from introduction , as it is compositionally less developed and less independent, usually not called separately.

The introduction may be ostinato to become the following parts, as in the finale of the 3rd Beethoven symphony . Chords or “chord passages” are important, setting the tonality and “groove” for subsequent parts, only hidden or contextual motivational and thematic materials are important. Such an introduction can first be formulated as primary or other important material, which can only be associated with other primary or other important material, or be attributed to any other material.
