Distribution and Ecology

The species range covers Azerbaijan ( Bozdag Mountain). Endemic .

It grows among thickets of juniper .

Botanical Description

Stems are rising, with protruding, floral, numerous branches , pubescent with gray, pressed, curly hairs.

The leaves are ovoid in shape, twice pinnate, with narrowly linear or almost filiform lobes, partly down-sloping.

Flowers in long multi-flowered inflorescences on straight and rejected pedicels ; bracts simple or three-cut, equal to or two to three times shorter than pedicels. Calyx lobes linear, unequal, external twice as long as internal; corolla intensely blue or blue, with a diameter of 5-7 mm.

Capsule broadly reverse heart-shaped, tapered to the base, with a very blunt notch at the apex, with hard flaps.
