Psizh - a river in the Volotovsky and Starorussky district of the Novgorod region . It originates in a swamp near the village of Pukovo, Volotovsky district. It flows into Lake Ilmen . The length of the river is 82 km, the catchment area is 325 km². Belongs to the Baltic Sea basin .

The largest tributaries are: Derevik stream (22 km from the mouth), Shelepsky stream (29 km). Both are left.
The bed of Psigi is very winding. In 2001, the river valley was declared a specially protected natural area, a natural monument of regional significance [2] . A geological fault passes through the river bed in its lower reaches, exposing the limestone layers of the preglacial period [3] .
On the banks of Psizh there are about 30 settlements. The largest of them are: the district center of the village of Volot , the village of Buregi, Starorussky district.
The river crosses the highway P48 Soltsy - Staraya Russa - Demyansk - Yazhelbitsy ; also in the area of the village of Buregi highway P51 ( Shimsk - Staraya Russa).
