Jabot ( fr. Jabot - “bird’s goiter”) - trim blouse , dress or men's shirt in the form of a frill of fabric or lace , descending from the neck down the chest, also a kind of collar . It first appeared in a European costume in the 17th century as a detail of a men's suit of extraordinary sizes, pomp and whiteness and was richly decorated with lace. Almost disappeared from men's clothing in the second half of the XIX century. In women's and children's fashion, frill is preserved today [1] .
The term "frill" in the automotive industry is called a special plastic panel to protect the filter of the car, installed in front of the windshield of the car.
