Leonardo de Matos Cruz , better known as Leo Matos (Brazilian port. Leonardo de Matos Cruz ; born April 2, 1986, Niterói , Brazil ) is a Brazilian footballer , defender of the PAOK club.

Biography
Born April 2, 1986 in the city of Niterói (a suburb of Rio de Janeiro ). In 2004, he became a player at the Marseille Olympic , for which he had not played a single match. He acted on loan for Flamengo , Tombense , Parana and Figuirense . In 2009 he moved to Vila Nova from the city of Goiania .
February 27, 2010 signed a contract with Odessa " Chernomorets ". On February 28, 2010, he played his first official match for Chernomorets in the Ukrainian championship against Simferopol Tavria . Leo Matos played all 90 minutes of the game. On May 3, 2010, it became known that upon expiration of the contract with the club he received the status of a free agent [2] , however, a new contract was soon signed and Leo Matos continued to play for Chernomorets. In the summer of 2010 I visited the show in “ Rostov ”, but the team did not fit [3] .
In April 2012, he became vice-captain of the team [4] . In the 2011/12 season became the top scorer of Chornomorets, scoring 8 goals in 22 matches. In the 2013/14 season Leonardo de Matos became the first “legionnaire” in the history of the Odessa “Chernomorets”, who played one hundred (100) official matches as part of the team.
At the end of May 2013, information appeared about Matos’s transition to the Kharkov Metalist [5] , and in June 2014 to Dnipropetrovsk Dnipro [6] . For 4.5 years, the Brazilian held 123 official matches as part of Chornomorets and scored 14 goals. He is the champion of Chernomorets among the legionnaires in the number of matches held (120 games, 13 goals) [7]
At the end of June 2014, he signed a four-year contract with Dnipropetrovsk Dnipro.
In early June 2016, he signed a contract with the Greek club PAOK [8] [9] .
