The administrative center is the village of Pavlovichi .
The parish was formed during the reform of 1861 ; united 7 settlements.
In the 1880s , Pavlovsky volost was abolished, and its territory entered the Orlyn volost .
Now the whole territory of the former Pavlovsky volost is included in the Suzemsky district of the Bryansk region .
