Biography
Born in 1925 in the Kirovograd region.
In 1943 he graduated from vocational school No. 13 (now Professional Lyceum No. 13 ) in Magnitogorsk. After graduation, he was sent to work at the sixteenth furnace of the MMK , where he went from a steelmaker to a senior furnace master.
In 1948 he was transferred to the twentieth open-hearth furnace, where he initiated the social competition of steelmakers throughout the country for increasing labor productivity.
Rewards
For the achievement of high production indicators, Alexey Panchenko was awarded six medals and three orders.
In 1966, he was awarded the title " Hero of Socialist Labor " with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle . "
