Biography
Ulyana Spiridonovna was born on January 3, 1906 (December 21, 1905 - in the old style) in the village of Vyatchanovo, Yaroslavl Province (now Danilovsky District, Yaroslavl Region ).
In 1917-1925 she worked as a hired worker, from 1925 to 1943 she was a milkmaid, from 1943 she was a brigadier of the Karavaevo state farm.
In 1935 she graduated from the educational program . Member of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions (1937–1940). Member of the CPSU since 1941 .
Since December 1961 - a personal pensioner.
Awards
- Twice Hero of Socialist Labor :
- 08/25/1948 - for success in the development of animal husbandry,
- 12/03/1951 - for success in the development of animal husbandry.
- Awarded 4 orders of Lenin , the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and medals, as well as a large gold and other medals VSHV . [one]
Memory
A bronze bust of the Heroine was installed on the square of the central estate of the state farm.
Interesting Facts
In 1937, Barkova received milk yield of 8655 liters for a single fodder cow, for which she was awarded a gramophone , a suit and a coat - worth 2500 rubles. [2]
