Biography

Rahim was born on the outskirts of the capital of Jamaica - Kingston [2] [3] . In such areas, even ordinary walks turned into a dangerous adventure, and Rahim's house was located opposite the drug bar. When Rahim was 2 years old, his father was shot dead [4] [5] . Sterling might never have played football, but his mother receives an invitation to work in London and, without hesitation, moves to the capital of Great Britain , taking four children with her [2] [3] [6] [7] . Here the Sterlings settle in the disadvantaged area of Saint-Raphael.

Young Rahim was not well-mannered and was considered a problem child. At the age of 11, Sterling enters London's correctional school and it is here that he begins to play football for the first time.
