The administrative center is the village of Chemlyzh .
History
The volost was formed during the reform of 1861 . In the 1880s , its territory was expanded due to the abolished Borisov Volost .
In May 1924 , with the enlargement of volosts, Chemlyzhskaya volost was abolished, and its territory was included in the Sevsky volost .
Now the territory of the former Chemlyzh volost is included in the Sevsky district of the Bryansk region .
Administrative Division
In 1920, the following village councils were part of the Chemlyzh volost: Atrakinsky, Berestoksky, Borisovsky, Zaulsky, Knyagininsky, Korostovsky, Chemlyzhsky. [2]
