Siberian State Technological University is the oldest higher educational institution of Krasnoyarsk , which existed in 1930—2016. It is attached to the Siberian State Aerospace University named after academician MF Reshetnev, forming with it a supporting university Siberian State University of Science and Technology named after academician MF Reshetnev .

Content
History
Founded in 1930 as the Siberian Forest Institute (based on the forest department of the Siberian Institute of Agriculture and Forestry of the city of Omsk ).
In 1933, it was renamed the Siberian Forestry Institute , in 1958 - the Siberian Institute of Technology ( STI ).
In 1982, the first branch of the institute appeared in the city of Lesosibirsk .
In the 1990s, the Higher College of Informatics was included in the institute, and the joint educational institution was renamed the Krasnoyarsk State Technological Academy in 1994 [1] .
In 1997, following the results of certification, the university received university status and was renamed the Siberian State Technological University .
Specialists were trained in six areas of training for bachelors and masters and thirty-two specialties in nine day and two correspondence departments.
In 2016, with the aim of creating a supporting university in Krasnoyarsk , SibSTU was reorganized by joining the Siberian State Aerospace University named after Academician MF Reshetnev. [2] [3] On May 12, 2017, together with him, he formed the Siberian State University of Science and Technology named after academician MF Reshetnev .
