Biography
In 1118, Geoffrey II rebelled against his father and demanded that he inherit. Etienne had to share his property, passing part of his son. In 1120, Geoffrey II made Montcontour and Lamballe his residences. He also bore the title of Senior de Lamballe.
In 1130, Geoffrey founded Begars Abbey. In 1135 or in 1136 he became Earl of Pentevre. Geoffrey built the castle of Montcontour, and on February 3, 1137 founded the Cistercian Abbey of Saint-Aubin-des-Bois.
During the civil war in England 1135 - 1154, he was named a supporter of the Empress Matilda . Tossing his English possessions, he fled the country. [one]
Geoffrey died in 1148 . The count of Pentyev was his son Rivallon .
