Description
“The flag of the Zemetchinsky district is a rectangular panel with a 2: 3 ratio of width to length, divided into two equal parts — green and red — by a downward sloping line spaced above the shaft and below the free edge by a distance of 1/5 of the length panels. In the middle, the figure of a bear, executed in yellow and orange, carries a tree stump with a hollow tied with ropes on its back. ”
Justification of Symbols
The flag of the Zemetchinsky district was developed on the basis of the coat of arms of the district.
The village of Zemetchino arose at the end of the XVII century. The first mention of Zemetchino dates back to 1684 .
The original name is “Rozhdestvenskoye Village”. The settlement received its first name in honor of the Church of the Nativity of Christ, built in the village.
Since 1722, the documents began to meet and the second name of the item "Zemetchina". The settlement received the second name due to the fact that it was founded by zemstvos (beekeepers engaged in primitive beekeeping). They collected “wild honey”, that is, honey collected from wild bees, without taking any measures to care for the bees. Subsequently, the Zemstvo began to engage in agriculture. This was facilitated by favorable conditions: chernozem land and an abundance of water (the Mashnya River, rich in fish). Rich harvests led to the development of trade, mainly bread.
The division of the flag into green and red panels symbolizes these places as rich in forests (green) and fields (red). This division also symbolizes the agricultural (green) and industrial (red) development of the region.
The figure of the bear is symbolically multifaceted. The “master" of the forest is a symbol of courage and courage, stamina and frugality.
Green color symbolizes spring, health, nature, fertility.
Red color - a symbol of courage, life-affirming power and beauty, holiday
Yellow is a symbol of harvest, wealth, stability, respect and intelligence.
