Content
Story
The filmmaker journalist Lee Phillips faced a serious problem - he needs to bring two stars to the banquet for the press, Gwen Harrison and Eddie Thomas, known as “America's FAVORITES”, on the occasion of the release of their last joint film. The couple broke up not so long ago, Gwen is now with a little-known Spanish actor Hector, and Eddie is undergoing therapy in the clinic. The eccentric director Hal Weidman told producer Dave Kingman that for the first time the film will not be seen in the studio, but that's it, and he and the press are at the banquet. And Lee’s job is to bring Gwen and Eddie to the banquet to distract the press from the film so that they don’t know that there isn’t any film yet.
Arriving at a hotel in the desert, Eddie again meets Gwen's sister, Kiki, who is very prettier, losing "a little" weight. Eddie had long liked Kiki, but before he, being blinded by the beauty of Gwen, had never noticed her. At the hotel, Eddie and Kiki are getting closer. But in public, Eddie pretends to be still with Gwen.
When in the end the film is finally shown, it turns out that the film consists of video cuts from the set. Weidman made a sort of first “ reality show ”. Gwen is in shock, she didn’t speak very well about her current boyfriend Hector, Kiki, peeping at Eddie, is stuffed with cookies ... Footage show how Gwen is selfish and insidious, and Eddie is gradually becoming more paranoid, suspecting his wife of cheating.
Gwen is trying to "save face" by announcing a reunion with Eddie, but Eddie already realizes that he really loves Kiki, and tells everyone about it.
