Barry Ackroyd ( born Barry Ackroyd ; born May 12, 1954 , Oldham , Greater Manchester , England ) is an English cameraman. Winner of the BAFTA Award for Best Cinematography in the movie The Lord of the Storm .

Biography
Born May 12, 1954 in the city of Oldham, England [1] . He studied at the College of Art in Portsmouth from 1973 to 1976 [2] . At the beginning of his career, he worked as an operator on the set of documentary television films and short films. The first feature film for Barry Ackroyd was the 1991 film " Riff-Ruff " directed by Ken Loach , after which he worked as the main cameraman in many films of this director. As an independent director, Ackroyd made the short film “The Moth Man” (1996), for which he was nominated for a BAFTA Award together with Robin Macpherson [3] .
Member of the British Society of Cameramen [4] .
