The administrative center is the village of Selets .
History
The parish was formed during the reform of 1861 ; About 2/3 of its territory was forested on the left bank of the Desna . [one]
In May 1924 , with the disbandment of Trubchevsky Uyezd , the Seletskaya Volost was also abolished, and its territory was transferred to Pochep Uyezd and included in the newly formed Trubchevsky Volost .
Now the territory of the former Seletskaya volost is divided between the Trubchevsky and Pogarsky districts of the Bryansk region , and the village of Znob-Trubchevskaya with the surrounding villages has been part of Ukraine since 1926 .
