Turkey at the 2000 Summer Olympics

Turkey took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney ( Australia ) for the eighteenth time in its history, and won three gold and two bronze medals. The national team was represented by 57 participants, of which 15 were women.

  Weightlifting

As part of the weightlifting competition, two exercises are carried out - a jerk and a push. In each of the exercises, the athlete is given 3 attempts in which he can order any weight that is a multiple of 2.5 kg. The winner is determined by the sum of two exercises.
