Biography

Born September 22, 1857 . The son of a general from artillery I.K. Postovsky (1828-1906), brother of Lieutenant General A.I. Postovsky .

He entered the service on April 28, 1875, at the end of the gymnasium. In 1878 he graduated from the 1st Military Pavlovsk School , and was promoted to ensign by the 34th Artillery Brigade.
