Biography

Valery was born in Lida , where he began to play football. He started his professional career at the age of 21, in 2005, having signed a contract with a club from his native city - with Lida FC.

In his first season as a professional football player, he immediately made his way to the foundation of the Lidi club, which was then in the First League. He played 29 matches in the season, scored 5 goals and helped his club finish the season with 10 positions in the standings. After a relatively successful season, Valery began to receive offers to change the club, in particular, there was interest from Vitebsk and Belshina . But the Vitebsk club offered the player only a viewing, while Belshina , which last season went to the Higher League, is a full-fledged contract. Valery chose the Bobruisk version [1] .

In Belshin , Zhukovsky also immediately became a player in the base and in one and a half seasons played 38 matches and scored 10 goals. In the summer of 2007, he moved to Shakhtar , where in two years he played about 50 matches and scored 7 goals. During the game in the Soligorsk club, he played twice in the finals of the Belorussian Football Cup (in 2008 and 2009), but the trophy to the Soligor team never surrendered.

In the summer of 2009 goes to " Naftan ". Valery was invited to Novopolotsk purposefully under the matches of the Europa League, but he did not have time to declare for these games. . In the season of 2010 I played 32 matches for Naftan, scored 5 goals. The following season, he played 5 less games, scored 3 goals, gave 2 assists, but still remained a solid player of the base. But in the 2012 season, he dropped out of the main club staff, appearing on the field mainly from the substitution. May 20, 2012 Zhukovsky, along with his club on the third attempt, won the Belorussian Cup . In December 2012, after the end of the contract with Naftan, Zhukovsky had several offers, including the extension of the contract with the Novopolotsk club .

On December 8, the official website of Gomel announced that Valery Zhukovsky had become a green-and-white player, having signed a one-year contract [3] . He made his debut for the club on May 14, 2013 in a cup game against Minsk . On April 8, in the match against his former club, Naftan scored the first goal for Gomel. After the first 8 rounds, Valery had 8 games for a new club, in which he scored 2 goals and gave 1 goal assist. In May 2013, he suffered a severe left knee injury, due to which he was out of action for about two months. In early June, Zhukovsky was operated on in Germany. On June 15, 2013, despite the injury, he extended the contract with Gomel until the end of 2014 [4] .

He played for Naftan in the 2014 and 2015 seasons. He played 57 matches in the championship of Belarus, scored 11 goals.

December 14, 2015 it became known about the conclusion of a contract with the Minsk " Dynamo " [5] . Already at the preseason gathering, Valery was chosen as the second vice-captain of the team. On June 29, it became known that after the departure of Alexander Gutor, the captain's armband was transferred to Valery Zhukovsky [6] .
