Reviews
“The idiocy of everyday life is perhaps the main theme and the main“ object of ridicule ”of the NOM. In this, the group is a direct heir to the traditions of the rock theater of the absurd - from the sardonic jokes of Frank Zappa and the rivalry of Captain Beefheart to the grotesque “parades” and “marches” of “ AVIA ”, mini-performances of “ Sounds of Mu ” and the inside-out routine of the albums of the early “ DK ” ", - writes in the review of the album in the magazine" Melody "Arkady Petrov. “Everything that the NOM songs say is just a slightly sharpened reality. The mirror that “informal” story-tellers expose to us is not at all crooked, or crooked, but not so much as the world is unattractive before our eyes <...> A limited and vicious dwarf fighting alone with a complicated elevator; “Bodily wretched” owner of fake legs, right and left selling prostheses; an eerie odlopez is either a beast or a goblin - in a word, an unknown inhabitant of a thicket, which is hunted by the villagers, somewhat reminiscent of some Vyselki from the " Snail on the Slope " of the Strugatsky ... " [2]
Yuri Budko ( Parus Magazine) discovers the connection of Gross texts with the poetry of Daniil Kharms and Nikolai Oleinikov . “In various ways, idiotic in their poems, the dramatic manifestations of the seemingly insignificant aspects of our everyday life and culture, they are sure that in such a language one can also speak of serious problems.” [3]
